Nautiness Sailing
Koh Samui has no typical marina, so we either securly anchor or attach to our own moorings. Normally, we moor at the Petcherat Marina Pier in Bang Rak or anchor either in the bay of Choengmon or at Fisherman’s Village in Bophut.
Boarding is performed by dinghy or at one of the various piers, depending on wind and waves.
As you can see on charts and sea maps we decided to make the Gulf of Thailand home for NAUTINESS II. Sailing in Phuket – Andaman sea (for example: Similan islands) – as many boat owners probably do just out of convenience because of the many marinas there. The safe sailing area in the Gulf of Thailand has much more to offer.
